RUBEXPO VIETNAM

        Vietnam has been ranked the fourth largest natural rubber exporter and the fifth largest natural rubber producer after Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. Natural rubber was the third commodity after rice and coffee. Progressive demand for natural rubber in the world has encouraged Vietnam to expand its area under rubber trees to increase export-turnover and to be multi-purpose solution for national development. Since 1990, rubber smallholding sector has been developed rapidly throughout the country and its share in the total rubber area.

     Vietnam The Preferred Trade Hub Natural Rubber demand of global market and conditions of available land, the government has issued the master plan to reach 800,000 ha of rubber plantations and 1.1 to 1.2 million tons of natural rubber by 2015 or 2020 in the country. The domestic consumption is expected to reach 30% of the natural rubber production by 2030 to develop the end products from natural rubber.

The government has encouraged trade to invest in rubber wood industry, transfer of advanced technology, trade promotion and enhance the capacity of the VRA to support producers, enterprises and its members. RUBEXPO will bring in new technology materials and help manufacturers achieve significant scales of production, reduce costs and increase profitability. The expo will facilitate manufacturing of value added products to boost the sector in particular and economy in general.
